Mecca And The Soul Brother, the critically acclaimed 1992 full-length debut from Pete Rock and CL Smooth. The album is considered as one of the greatest Hip Hop albums of all time. Labcabincalifornia is the second album by The Pharcyde, released in 1995, three years after their debut Bizarre Ride II the Pharcyde. The album's production was handled by The Pharcyde themselves and Jay Dee, with additional help from Diamond D and M-Walk. The video for the album's first single, "Drop", was directed by Spike Jonze and used footage of the group performing the song backwards, replayed backwards, giving it a surreal quality. The song was a hit, as was the follow-up single "Runnin'," which peaked at #55 on the Billboard Hot 100.

‘One In A Million’ is the second LP by R&B singer Aaliyah. The LP was originally released in 1996 and includes production from a whole host of, at the time, up-and-coming artists including Missy Elliot and Timbaland. Rolling Stone magazine put this in their top 100 of the 1990s. An influential LP in the worlds of hip-hop and R&B that marked Aaliyah as one to watch.
