Austrian reissue kings PMG do all the African disco fans a massive favour here, delivering a remastered edition of "Nation Building", a forgotten gem from the late '70s and one of the very best African records ever. Berkely Ike Jones is one of the icons of the Nigerian scene, operating as guitarist and founder of BLO, one of the very best progressive bands from Nigeria who dropped several albums for EMI (Nigeria) and Afrodisia Records. When Ginger Baker of Cream travelled to Nigeria, he was so impressed by Jones' skills on the frets that he invited him to be part of his session-band Salt. "Nation Building" is his solo project recorded in the late 1970s on Skylark Records. The original LP is extremely rare and very expensive, so this is your chance to grab your copy and listen to some really great Afro-Beat music.
