Nigeria 70: Lagos Jump, another essential box of West African dynamite with the emphasis firmly on the dancefloor. From the heavy jazz of Peter King to Bola Johnson’s scratchy Afro funk and the rolling grooves of juju legend Sir Shina Peters, the album captures a rich and unique era in West African music.

"...a brilliant panorama of the country's popular music in the 1970s" (Pitchfork, 8.5)

Cheryl Glasgow's classic 'Glued To The Spot' is a carefree club cut from back in 1987 that mixes up boogie, soul, jazz, funk and electronic styles. It has become a cult and hard-to-find gem over the years so this reissue happily makes it available to all once more. It is one of only two tunes the mysterious Glasgow released but still bangs to this day. First up is the Cub Mix which is packed with earworm synths and louche 80s beats that just draw people to the floor in an instant. The buttery smooth and soulful vocal is of course the highlight on this retro delight.
