En 2020, Bingo Club avait fait une entrée remarquable sur la scène avec un premier EP nommé Separated qui aurait mérité un plus grand accueil en y repensant. Mais cela n’empêche pas pour autant le trio parisien de récidiver sur la scène avec leur univers musical absolument dantesque qui est sublimement exprimé sur leur premier long-format événement qui s’intitule Better Lucky Than Beautiful.Imaginez donc un croisement entre Ariel Pink, Serge Gainsbourg, le Velvet Underground et Mazzy Star. Vous obtiendrez ainsi la musique immersive et ô combien envoûtante de Bingo Club qui nous embarque dès les premières notes de « The Low Land » où les harmonies vocales ont de quoi nous émouvoir tout comme sur « Always The Same Old Song » et « I Do We Do ». La formation menée par Martin Rousselot nous promet un périple musical plus qu’alléchant.Et ce n’est pas fini car Better Lucky Than Beautiful regorge de moments de pure beauté. Le carnet de voyage musical de Bingo Club promet monts et merveilles avec « Sushi Wang » et « Ginger Brown » ainsi que des moments un brin décalés mais toujours aussi attachants avec « Ma chèvre » et « Foot ». Il n’empêche que Martin Rousselot maîtrise les influences soft-rock et dream-pop psychédélique sur le bout des doigts jusqu’au bout avec « Oh Man » et « Pas de Pbm » afin de faire de ce premier disque une œuvre taillée sur mesure.

German electronic artist and co-founder of the Noton label, Alva Noto, presents the standalone release of his original soundtrack for the film 'This Stolen Country Of Mine', first composed in 2022. The documentary film explores the question of a state's sovereignty in the face of foreign powers, portraying Ecuadorian resistance fighters and journalists who oppose the sell-off of an extensive part of the country's resources to Chinese investors. Touching on these ominous themes, Noto crafts an intimately minimal, but tense ambient electronic score, reflecting the quiet determination of the communal spirit of the Ecuadorian mountain village portrayed in the film.

From the heartbreak that defined his previous EP robyn, cktrl elevates above it with the more hopeful, intimate, and serenading tracks on zero. Exploring love as freely and naturally as possible, zero finds its catharsis in blossoming, rippling layers of organic instrumentation merging with subtle electronic textures. ‘mazes’ with harpist Ahya Simone opens to a sweet earthen symphony of faintly fluttering pianos and full, brassy saxophone. Stuttering beats drift smokily around the title track, with effortlessly cascading guitar plucks matching Mereba’s velvety vocal harmonies.
