Junko Tange’s second and final album - a minimalistic, phantasmagoric masterpiece of distant, dreamlike voices woven through pulsating, dubbed-out drum machines, synths and static, originally issued by Osaka’s Vanity Records in 1981. Did this unassuming dental student (who vanished from the music world following this release) inadvertently invent dub techno? You be the judge. Label head Yuzuru Agi said this was his favorite Vanity release, and it’s not hard to see why. Remastered by Stephan Mathieu from new transfers of the original analog tapes, this fully authorized 2LP is the definitive edition of this landmark electronic work.

This special hand-stamped 12" from Heavenly Sweetness offers up unreleased remixes By Sergie Rezza of Cotonete's "Layla" track. The first is a slow motion groove with heavy electronics but a blissful set of chords and filtered vocal sounds bursting through the heavy clouds to bring moments of sheer pleasure. The no kick mix strips away the chugging drums to make for an ambient track that is almost as rhythmic thanks to the lead synth, and the final In Heaven mix is cast utterly free from this world. It leaves you drifting amongst the clouds, with slivers of melody gently drifting by.
The Remnants EP was the second record produced by Morgan Geist for his own Environ label. Originally released in 1996, it is a highly valued release on the second hand market but has now been reissued and beautifully remastered. Here, the New Jersey native was inspired by England's take on the sound of Detroit. From the bleepy electro influence of "Current", to the soulful tones of "In Your Electronic Arms" (reminiscent of his debut album The Driving Memoirs) and the absolutely emotive Mondrian remix on the flip - don't sleep on the chance to snap up this beauty right here.
