La Candela del Río is the debut album by Paris-based Venezuelan quartet Insólito UniVerso. In the space of 8 tracks, the band fuses traditional Venezuelan styles, such as joropo, merengue caraqueño, or tambores de San Millán with psych, chanson, and contemporary electronics. Co-produced by The Heliocentrics' Malcolm Catto, the record shows two distinct sides; on the one hand there's euphoric music that begs to be danced to, while on the other there's melancholy, mystery and devotion.Originally released back in 2018, the record's initial run of 500 copies has been long sold out and is presented here in a new edition of 300 including the original artwork and printed lyrics insert.
Belgian producer and curator soFa launches from Strangelove once again, this time with his celebrated compilation series. A second trip round the stars "elsewhere junior Vol 2" features a bunch of unknown and familiar offworld entertainers. Kosmische music lands amongst leftfield club krypton as our crew collaborate with young space cadets. The Empress of Nature & t-woc cover the interplanetary boogie hit 'Rappers Delight' , while Felix Kubin & daughter Bela waltz through the stratus. Conny Frischauf and The Mindful Potheads take us to lynchian journeys of kindergarten Kraut. Mytron's motorik moon dance spins past Naomi Klaus' martian punk shuffle, all amongst a stellar double pack of electronics orbiting Uranus. In these gloomy times some whimsical fun and a little lightness is just what we need right? Put on your space helmets, fly high and enjoy these trippy sonic explorations..
Mac Demarco’s 2 is a concerted effort to produce a cohesive work that showcases Mac’s natural ability as a songwriter, singer and producer. With a new arsenal of recording gear, the fidelity has substantially improved without compromising the immediacy and organic quality of his prior releases under any monicker.

Naruto is one of the most acclaimed anime series of all time, but what of its soundtrack? Little curators' attention has yet been paid to Naruto's best musical themes, perhaps since Naruto itself is such an extensive series. That changes with Microids' first-ever Best Collection LP of the show's best original motifs, epitomising the hero's journey of the young ninja Naruto Uzumaki, and his quest to become the strongest ninja in the world. Surely a fitting nostalgia trip for the 1999-ers out there.
After the success of the first two Claremont Editions compilations, Claremont 56 chief Pauk 'Mudd' Murphy decided to take his time over compiling volume three. It's a strategy that appears to have paid off, because this third instalment is every bit as strong as its predecessors. Once again, it features a mix of unreleased exclusives and unheard or previously digital-only remixes. The highlights across the Balearic-minded set are too numerous to mention, but our current faves include Hillside's lusciously orchestrated tribute to classic library jazz-funk, 'Pole Vault', the horizontal downtempo pop of Jpye and Renato, Connie Idjut's slow-motion, dubbed-out take on Paqua's 'The Visitor' and the pastoral-but-percussive wonder that is Ferdi Schuster's brilliant 'The Fuzz Version'.
