Clement Bushay's Dread In Session album has been hard to find but much desired pretty much since it was first released back in 1975. It finds him working with guest musicians such as Ken Boothe, Delroy Washington, Bob Davis, Gene Rondo and more including some former members of the Cimarons. The late great reggae engineer Lee "Scratch" Perry worked on some of these cuts at his legendary Black Arc Studio so they have a real stamp of authority and quality as they explore 12 sublime and classic reggae sounds. A timeless album for reggae heads old and new.
A MATTER OF TIME is the follow-up to Protoje’s critically acclaimed 2015 full-length, Ancient Future, which featured the hit single “Who Knows” ft Chronixx, which has garnered over 69 million views on YouTube & 5.9 million SoundCloud streams. A Matter Of Time features Chronixx and Mortimer, and contains the smash hit singles ‘Blood Money’, ’Truth & Rights’, ‘Bout Noon’ and ’No Guarantees. ‘A Matter Of Time’ was produced by Winta James (Damian Marley, Anthony B, The Mighty Diamonds) and recorded in Jamaica.
The Roots Man Dub album was originally released in 1978 on Hit, a label from the GG Records crew. It features a ton of superb dubs by Alvin Ranglin, who flipped versions of tunes by The Maytones, Al Brown, The Starlights and many more besides into sonic wonders for mind, body and soul. This compilation pulls them all together again and results in plenty of indisputable sonic fire for when the warmer months come, we laze about in the garden and partake in a toke or two.
